Jon S. Summers

Jon S. Summers is a Los Angeles family law lawyer and one of the founding partners at Summers Levine, LLP. With nearly 30 years of experience, Jon brings not only a thorough understanding and compassion to his cases, but a sincere and principled advocacy as well. As no two matters are alike, Jon crafts a goal-oriented, legal strategy at the outset of each case, whether the issue concerns a contested custody issue, a carefully negotiated global settlement, or a detailed prenuptial agreement. Having represented many high-net-worth clients throughout Southern California, he is highly regarded for his expertise involving family law issues, in particular, the complexities of child custody, the division of assets, and the preservation of wealth. Jill Foley Alexander

Jill Foley Alexander, a partner of Summers Levine, LLP, has exclusively practiced family law since graduating from law school. Beginning as an associate attorney for a highly reputable boutique family law firm in Chicago, Illinois, she focused on complex family law matters. Ms. Alexander moved to Los Angeles, California in 2007.  After Ms. Alexander’s admittance to the California Bar, she continued to hone her experience and knowledge of the multi-faceted area of family law, handling complex financial matters and high conflict parenting disputes. She understands the emotional stress and uncertainty that comes with family law disputes and is able to bring a balance of advocacy and empathy to each case.

Ms. Kramer is a native of central Ohio where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In 2003, she received her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude from New York Law School. Since graduation, she has practiced exclusively in Family Law.

Gary J. Cohen

Of Counsel
Gary J. Cohen, who is “of counsel” to Summers Levine, LLP, has been practicing law in the Los Angeles area since 1975. Beginning in 1981 and continuing into 2006, Mr. Cohen divided his time between family law litigation and appellate court work. During these three and half decades, Mr. Cohen was, at different times, an associate, a partner and a member of two of the largest family law firms in the Los Angeles area. As a consequence, Mr. Cohen is intimately familiar with the day-to-day practice of family law, and has performed all of the tasks presented by such a practice.
